AQHAC Cools Cats in Summer Finale

  Wrapping up a long-delayed summer season which featured 7 rainouts between May 17 and August 23, Harmony Sea Kittens (4-4) squared off with Affordable Quality Heating & Air Conditioning (5-3) in an MSCR LaCrosse League 3rd-place game at Olbrich Park Wednesday night.  A rematch of an exciting June 7 tilt won 15-12 by Sea Kittens, this time the AQHAC offense fired hotter and blazed past the Cats 13-8. Mama Cat Named Comeback Player of the Year

The 2017 season was a return to form for Erin “Mama Cat” O’Brien, who slumped through her 2016 season. Perhaps rejuvenated by lugging increasingly heavier weights daily, the Cat’s all-team female leader in batting average scored 10 runs for the third time in her career- Heidi and Gretchen are the only others to do so even once- and topped 10 hits for the seventh time in eight seasons.
