Cats Romp Around Bases

Harmony Sea Kittens enjoyed a successful return to MSCR Monroe League action Wednesday night,  opening up a tight game late and cruising past Steal Your Base 18-8 under a Strawberry Moon and in a cloud of newly hatched mosquitoes at Olbrich Park.  The victory was Sea Kittens’ sixth consecutive win over SYB, but the 10-run differential marks the closest match during that streak.  With the win, Harmony moved to 2-0 in second-half Monroe league play

On an idyllic early summer evening at Olbrich park, everything lined up for a perfect night of softball… except two teams.  Whilst Harmony Sea Kittens (2-0, MSCR Monroe League) brought 14 players to the contest, Mickey’s Bomb Squad mustered only 7, resulting in the first-ever forfeit in Sea Kitten history.  The two teams scrambled and played a lively scrimmage, but without the flair that accompanies a league game.         Game Notes No
