Holy DynamOele! Slugger Carries Kittens Past Offenders

Mother of mercy, Sea Kitten fans witnessed a one-player wrecking ball in action at Olbrich Park Wednesday night. Dan Dynam-Oele slugged three home runs and collected 10 runs batted in to lead Sea Kittens (6-1, 2-0 MSCR Kenosha League 2nd half) to a 15-4 win over Olbrich Offenders (2-5, 0-2). Cats Show Birds No Mercy

Two rainouts and three weeks had passed since Sea Kittens (5-1, 1-0 2nd half MSCR Kenosha League) last gamboled about the red dirt infield of the Olbrich Playfields, but the squad looked as fresh and feisty as ever in a 21-4 mercy rule romp over Swinging’ Eagles (1-5, 0-1) Wednesday July 21.  The Cats played with a nine-player lineup for only the 10th time in club history, but the missing defender wasn’t missed this night

On this date 11 years ago Sea Kittens notched its first walkoff win in team history, a dramatic and delightful 15-14 victory over Floyd & Donna’s Packer Inn. The Cats used 14 players in the game, hit three triples, blew a 13-7 lead, and won it when Boom Boom Magyera foiled an intentional walk and poked the game-winning hit to right field with two out in the bottom of the 5th. All four of the original Cats who are still with the team- O’Brien, Hennessy, Magyera, and Sunshine Curtis- were there that mild and memorable summer eve.
