Sea Kittens Seize Silver

Sea Kittens wrapped up 2022 with an October 6 Softball Extravaganza, packing in three playoff games to conclude the Madison Sport and Social Club Fall season.  The Cats maximized their softball enjoyment with wins in their first two games to reach the league final, and went home very tired, but with a silver medal for their efforts. Fingers Don’t Lose (6-0) scruffed Sea Kittens (5-1) Thursday night in the Madison Sport and Social Club Fall season regular finale, coasting to a 14-7 victory on a pleasantly cool Autumn evening at Bowman Park.  The victory solidified FDL as hands-down favorite in its quest to win a third straight title in 2022, and relegated the Cats to the #3 seed in the upcoming league playoffs, scheduled to begin September 29. In Madison Sport & Social Club Thursday night play, Sea Kittens (5-0) kept pace with Fingers Don’t Lose (5-0) ahead of the teams’ first-place showdown September 22 with a 16-5 win over Miniature Equine Aficionados (3-2) September 15.
