Recap
Celebrating
Erin O’Brien’s birthday, the Sea Kittens split a week two double-header, thumping Bare Tree Bears 26-3 before falling 7-3 to a very tough Echo Tap team. Game 1 saw the Kits continue their week 1 hit parade, paced by sub Stephanie Jolitz in her Sea Kittens debut and punctuated by
Kristen Johnson’s first career hit, a 2-out no-doubt-about-it RBI single in the bottom of the 1st. Bear Tree answered the Kittens 6 first-inning runs with 3 of their own, but after that the Kittens defense and pitcher Matt Kornis settled into a comfort zone and rattled off 4 straight scoreless innings.
