Favorite foods: ice cream

Patronus: Baltimore Factoriole

A long-time tormentor of Sea Kittens in his playing days with Magnetic Monopoles, Baltimore Factorioles, and Infield Flies, Weber took time away from the game for a spate of adulting that saw him finish his PhD, get married, get a full-time job, and start a family.  But when he returned to Madison from Iowa, the game’s siren call and Kitten manager Joe Hennessy’s incessant texting proved irresistible.

Rusty though he may have been, Weber is back into form as the well-oiled hitting and fielding machine that made the Cats want him on their side.  He lists his favorite memory of Sea Kittens as those days playing for the Can O’Corn Trophy in Cats-Flies games.

In every level of organized sport – from T-ball through Madison Sports and Social Club softball – my teams have all always worn the same shirt/jersey/uniform. – Rusty Weber
