Sea Kits Opening Day History

Sea Kits Opening Day History

Sea Kittens history is littered with lopsided wins and losses on Opening Day, including huge wins in the past two seasons.  Other highlights include the team’s thrilling 8-7 win in its first-ever game- the only Cats opener to be decided by fewer than 10 runs, and an extra inning affair in 2013- the infamous “Out at Third” game.  We won’t talk about how a team loses by 11 in extras…  more inglorious moments include an eye-opening drubbing at the hands of Pedro’s when the team moved into the  “A” league, and a beatdown applied by Grant Thornton in 2014, in the midst of The Schneid.  Only twice – in 2010 and 2016- has Opening Day been washed out by rain. Both of those seasons started with two rainouts.  Win or lose, it’s always good to be back on the diamond, kicking up dust!
