In an all-around solid team effort, the Harmony Sea Kittens (2-0) defeated KL Engineering (0-2) 12-4 at Olbrich Park in MSCR Winona League play. The game was the only Winona League match played to completion this night, as for once the Cats were on the dry side of rain clouds.
Dynamo Dan Oele homered, doubled and scored four runs, while Joe Hennessy, Jess Schultz, Mama Cat O’Brien, and Boom Boom Magyera combined for nine Sea Kitten RBI. The Cats took advantage of winds that shifted from a 5mph vesper from the west to a 15-20mph n’oreaster in the top of the fourth inning, drawing three two-out walks and plating four runs while the KL pitcher struggled to adjust.
