A day after rapping 21 hits in a 12-8 Harmony Tournament loss, the Harmony Sea Kittens (0-1 in Fall Winnebago League play) could muster only 4 while suffering the ignominy of their first-ever shutout loss last night at Olbrich Park. Sea Kittens Rally, Rally, and Rally Again

Going into the 5th inning of Wednesday night’s rematch with Players, Los Gatitos del Mar (2-2) were up 4-1 and cursing, despite leaving 8 runners on base in the first 4 innings. Things turned in the 5th, and the black strike mat shrunk in the evening heat, leaving pitcher Matt Kornis. Before it was all done Players (2-2) had jumped to 6-4 lead. Sea Kittens 13, Packer Inn 7

With Joe & Erin out of town, spending time with Joe’s mom as she passed away and then attending to funeral arrangements,  Sea Kittens won 13-7 against Packer Inn, with a fine display of both the bats and gloves. The Cats swept the pack 3-0 in the 2010 season series.  As always, when the Sea Kittens come to play, we all come to play.  In particular the ladies had a grand night at the plate: Kelly M 2-4,
