The Sea Kittens were back in action Wednesday night, after rain led to a 2-week hiatus from the diamond. Despite the gap, the Kittens showed no rust and played livelier ball than in their season-opening loss to Pedro’s, but couldn’t string enough hits together to avert a 5-2 loss to Player’s. With Joe & Erin out of town, spending time with Joe’s mom as she passed away and then attending to funeral arrangements, Sea Kittens won 13-7 against Packer Inn, with a fine display of both the bats and gloves.
